A soy candle performs best when the first burn melts the entire top layer, creating an even wax pool and preventing tunneling so the wick can burn properly each time. Trim cotton wicks to ¼ inch before every burn to keep the flame steady, the scent clean, and the candle lasting longer. For safety and performance, burn no more than four hours at a time, allow the candle to cool before relighting, and keep the wax pool free of debris.
